Help2Beat Cancer and Covid-19
Help 2 Beat Cancer CIC is a community interest company (CIC), which is a type of company designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good. Help 2 Beat Cancer CIC was established to help support the fight against cancer.
Cancer Patients are particularly vulnerable to Coronavirus. This website is a Help 2 Beat Cancer Initiative, which will also help to raise funds to help in the establishment by Covax, of a Covid-19 Vaccine. Covax is a World Health Organization initiative set up so that all countries share the risks of vaccine development but also the benefits when one or more emerge that work.
The world’s biggest vaccine portfolio is held by Covax, which offers a lifeline to poorer countries that could not possibly afford to buy new vaccines for their populations. For wealthy countries Covax is an “insurance policy”. There are 321 potential vaccines in development around the world. The UK is a member of Covax.
No one has any idea where the best vaccine that is safe and effective will come from. A single vaccine candidate cannot be backed. It has to be a portfolio that is backed, in the realization that not all of these vaccines in late stage development will make it through.
Covax needs $2bn by the end of the year. The Vaccine Alliance, Gavi is co-ordinating donations to Covax. Support Covax with a donation direct to Gavi, here.

Local Partner Organizations Required to Co-operate in the operation of Borough Sites that are Focal Points For Communities in their Boroughs that help their own causes as well as Help 2 Beat Cancer, and Support Covax.
Xmas provides a Great Opportunity to Launch such a co-operation.
The Coronavirus has been very tough for charitable Organizations. About 1 in 10 Charities in the UK think they might have to close. With widespread job losses across the country and less money in circulation, fundraising has become much more challenging
Charities are facing increased demand for services and a reduction in overall giving. Charities need to find new ways of adapting to such situations. One such way might be to partner with Help 2 Beat Cancer CIC to to Co-operate in the operation of a Borough Site in which your charity operates, to help establish that Borough site as a Focal Point For Communities in the Boroughs that help their own causes as well as Help 2 Beat Cancer, and Support Covax.
A Programme is being established where Participating Major Retailers can also support the programme by featuring their products on relevant Borough Sites and pay a commission charged when they sell their products with 50% of the commission going to the partner Charitable Organization in the borough, and the other 50% being split between Help 2 Beat Cancer and Covax.
Please see below a list of borough sites being established. Please contact us if you are a charitable Organization that could be interested in such co-operation as detailed above.
